Lake Garda or Benaco is the largest lake in Italy. Not far from Gardone is the Vittoriale degli Italiani, a unique and extraordinary complex of buildings, gardens and waterways, desired and designed by Gabriele D'Annunzio, which also became his home. Places such as Desenzano and Salò are beautiful to visit all year round, where, while not renouncing the charm and tranquillity of the lake, one can enjoy the presence of numerous restaurants, sporting activities, cultural events and top-level shopping. For golf enthusiasts, on the Brescia side of Lake Garda there are also an important number of courses not far away, including Garda Golf, Chervò, Paradiso del Garda and Arzaga.
